Sunday 9/13/2026. 12:00 PM. Reed Park, Hopkinton MA
Beginner rounds are for the disc-dog-curious or for teams just looking to practice.
What is a “round” aka a “run”? In this case, a round is a 60 second game. You’ll walk your dog down to the field on leash when it is your turn, take the leash off, signal that you’re ready to start, timer begins, you start throwing and your dog starts catching and retrieving until the round is over.
We will publish a run order prior to the event so you know when you are running in the lineup.
We will help you at the line during your round.
You may run rounds of Throw & Go or 4 Way Play (rules are below and don’t worry, we will explain day of).
Your registration includes 2 rounds.
Practice runs will be scored on a score sheet but scores will not be submitted to UpDog.
Throw & Go – A simple game where you stand behind the line and throw the frisbee out on the field to your dog, if your dog catches the frisbee, you collect points. 60 second rounds. Throw And Go Rules Are Here.
4 Way Play – The handler stands in the middle of the field, there are 4 catch zones at the corners of the field. If your dog makes catches in the 4 catch zones, you collect points. 60 second rounds. 4 Way Play Virtual Players Meeting.
Details will be emailed a few days prior to the event so please provide a valid email address.
